In late 1999, Sting released his 6th album, giving him one more solo disc than he had studio albums with the Police. That album, Brand New Day, hit the top 10 in both the US and UK, and went triple platinum. The album featured numerous guest artists, including James Taylor, Branford Marsalis, and Stevie Wonder, as well as a host of string players conduced by Dave Hartley. In 2000, Sting won 2 Grammy awards for Brand New Day. He also toured extensively in support of the album, launching a world tour on October 14, 1999 that continued until July 29, 2001. This FM broadcast captures Sting at the Royal Albert Hall in London during that tour, on April 6, 2000, 21 years ago today.

When they concluded their historic 1974 tour, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young would not go on the road again for over 25 years. Then, with the start of the new century, they launched 3 tours in 6 years. In 2000, they reunited for the first time since 1974 for the CSNY2K tour, the name being derived from the infamous Y2K computer scare that turned out to be much ado about nothing. In 2006, they launched the Freedom Of Speech tour, protesting the policies of then President George W. Bush. In between, in 2002, the quartet embarked on the Tour of America. a 40 concert run that started on February 6 in Detroit and ran until the final show on April 29 in Portland. Yet, once the Dead officially disbanded in 1995 after Jerry Garcia's death, he did exactly that. In 1998, he began playing under the moniker Phil Lesh and Friends. Over the years, the friends have included a virtual who’s who of rock & roll, including Jorma Kaukonen, Trey Anastasio, Joan Osborne, Stanley Jordan, Steve Kimock and Derek Trucks, just to name a few. On June 30, 2009, U2 launched 360 degrees tour, which encompassed 110 shows over a 2 year stretch. The tour was undertaken in support of the band's then new album, No Line On The Horizon. Why a name for the tour that was different from the album title? U2 decided to name the tour after their unique stage configuration allowed the audience to almost completely surround the stage. To accommodate that set up, a massive four-legged structure nicknamed "The Claw" was built above the stage, with the sound system and a cylindrical video screen atop it. The tour became the highest grossing by any rock band in history, with $736 million in ticket sales. The set list for the 2011 portion of the tour featured more songs from Actung Baby, to mark the 20th anniversary of that album. This IEM recording captures the band during that tour in Argentina on April 2, 2011, 2 decades ago today,
