The Big List - My Requests - Updated January 31, 2026

Listed below are concerts I'm still searching for.  All are either SBD or FM recordings. It's a long list and clearly don't expect anyone to have them all. But the good news is I know every one of them exists based on my research across the web - its just a matter of finding them.

Which is where all of you come in! If any of you have any of these shows, please zip them up, upload them to a host like kraken, workupload, filefactory, etc, and post the download link in the comments under any post. It will be greatly appreciated.

Note: any format is fine - FLAC, mp3, etc.  If the show is split into tracks as opposed to being one big file, that would be appreciated.  Thanks  again for any help!

UPDATED: January 31, 2026

Note: crossed out means someone has fullfilled the request

February's Theme At So Many Roads

For February 2026, we bring back an old favorite - our theme will be Back To Back. In other words, we'll bring you bands playing 2 (or more) consecutive nights from the same year. Or sometimes, 2 shows in a single night!  And we'll have at least 1 back to Back set from each of the last 7 decades - the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010,s and 2020s!

Enjoy the tunz!

2010s - #5: In 1997, John Kadlecik co-founded Dark Star Orchestra, which was originally intended to be a one night a week Dead cover band. Before long all the group members quit their other projects and began concentrating on the group full-time. The band would often recreate set lists from a particular night in Grateful Dead history. Kadlecik had an uncanny ability to emulate Jerry Garcia's playing and singing style. So much so, that in 2009, Bob Weir and Phil Lesh, original members of the Grateful Dead, asked him to join Furthur, one of the many projects that the former members of the Dead embarked on after the death of Jerry Garcia. He would also later play as part of Phil Lesh & Friends. This soundboard recording captures John out on his own, in Richmond, fronting on January 30, 2016, a decade ago today.

Recent Re-Post Recap

Below is a recap of everything we've re-posted since December.  As far as I can tell, all the links are still active and probably will be for at least 30 more days.

By the way, some folks have asked why I use MirrorCreator for new posts and PixelDrain for re-posts. Comes down to the fact that on new posts, I want to give as many folks as possible a chance to grab the shows because not all hosts work everywherer. MirrorCreator provides a dozen different hosts so more folks have access. Storage with MirrorCreator, however, is limited.  So for large re-post, PixelDrain has more space and goes faster. It does not work everywhere, however, so some folks can't access the re-posts.  Sorry about that but unfortunately no host works everywhere and MirrorCreator simply isn't a great option on these large scale reposts.

As I mentioned, going to be quite busy in February and March, so not sure when the next re-posts will be.  Hopefully the list below gives you plenty to keep you busy in the meantime.

Enjoy the tunz!

Female Singers - Re-Posted Links

You know how bars have ladies nights?  Well, because we had plenty of time on our hands due to the snow, we here at So Many Roads decided to have of own sort of "ladies night" - namely a celebration of the great female singers of rock & roll by reposting all links to the following artists:

  • Belinda Carlisle
  • Blondie
  • Carole King
  • Chrissie Hynde
  • Delaney & Bonnie
  • Dusty Springfield
  • Edie Brickell & New Bohemians
  • Fleetwood Mac
  • Janis Joplin
  • Joan Jett
  • Joan Osborne
  • Katrina & The Waves
  • Linda Ronstadt
  • Lone Justice
  • Maria McKee
  • Maria Muldaur
  • Pat Benatar
  • Rachel Sweet
  • Robin Lane & The Chartbusters
  • Ronnie Spector
  • Stevie Nicks
  • The B52's
  • The Bangles
  • The Go Gos
  • The Pretenders
  • The Runaways
Use the sidebar where it says LABELS to click on the bands above to be taken to the posts we've put up for each of them.  Then scroll to the show you want and the new link will be there.

These new links, like all free ones, will expire in 30 to 60 days.  That said, don't hammer the links all at once - that's the fastest way for the host to delete them for overloading traffic.  Grab a show or two a day, then come back the next day for another couple, and so on.

By the way, if  I missed a show along the way, or posted an incorrect link, just leave a comment below the post and I'll get it fixed,  Been dealing with dozens of re-posted links and mistakes are bound to have happened.

Some last notes:
  • If a show says it was officially released, a new link has not been re-posted
  • We already cared for 10,000 Maniacs re-posts a few weeks ago - those should all still be available
  • At some point, I'll get to Sheryl Crow (over 80 reposts!), Tedeschi Trucks Band (over 70 reposts), and the Jefferson Airplane (over 50 reposts) with the legendary voice of Grace Slick (and before her, Signe Toly Anderson).
This will be the last re-post for a few weeks - snow is gone and real life will be busy over the next month or so.  But daily music will, of course, continue and when I get some more free time, I'll do some additional re-posts.

Enjoy the tunz!

1990s - #4: On November 29 1994, Nick Lowe released the album The Impossible Bird, which marked yet another reinvention of himself as an artist. According to reviews, the album "has a lot more to do with 1956 country music than with 1978 punk." That's hardly surprising for a man who was quoted as saying his greatest fear in recent years was "sticking with what you did when you were famous." This FM broadcast captures Lowe promoting his then new disc on the show in Philadelphia on January 28, 1995,  31 years ago today.

Oldies But Goodies - Re-Posted Links

Someone asked me to re-post all my Bobby Darin shows (4 in total), so that got me thinking about other artists who started out in the 1950s or early 1960s.  The result - we re-posted links for every show for all the following artists:
  • Bobby Darin
  • Buddy Holly
  • Chuck Berry
  • Dion DiMucci
  • Fats Domino
  • Frankie Valli
  • Ray Charles
Use the sidebar where it says LABELS to click on the bands above to be taken to the posts we've put up for each of them.  Then scroll to the show you want and the new link will be there.

These new links, like all free ones, will expire in 30 to 60 days.  That said, don't hammer the links all at once - that's the fastest way for the host to delete them for overloading traffic.  Grab a show or two a day, then come back the next day for another couple, and so on.

By the way, if  I missed a show along the way, or posted an incorrect link, just leave a comment below the posts and I'll get it fixed,  Been dealing with dozens of re-posted links and mistakes are bound to have happened.

At some point, I'll get to all the Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley shows, but simply didn't have time now.

Enjoy the tunz!

1990s - #3: On September 29, 1997, the Rolling Stones released Bridges to Babylon, their last studio album of the 20th century. While the album met with mixed reviews, it still climbed to #3 of the Billboard charts in the US and certified platinum by November. The Stones launched a year long world wide tour in support of the album, announcing their plans at a press conference underneath the Brooklyn Bridge! The Bridges to Babylon Tour would become the largest Rolling Stones tour to date, exceeding the sales of their record-breaking 1994-1995 Voodoo Lounge Tour. Estimates are that over 4.5 million people attended the 108 shows played during the tour. Along the way, the Stones visited 25 countries on 4 continents. The band followed that up in 1999 with the No Security tour, in support of the album of the same name, a live disc featuring songs from the Bridges to Babylon run. The No Security tour launched on January 26, 1999 and would feature 43 shows, all is arenas seating 20,000 or less, This soundboard recording captures the Stones on night 2 of the tour, in Sacramento, on January 27, 1999, 27 years ago today.

1970s - #5: In the summer of 1972, Bobby Darin hosted a variety show on NBC that turned out to be a surprise hit for the network, The show was brought back in January 1973 as a mid-season replacement and ran until April. What no one knew at the time, however, was that the show would be Darin's swan song. The incomparable singer would die on December 20, 1973, after 5 hours of open heart surgery failed to repair his already damaged heart, which had suffered a fatal infection when Darin failed to take medications designed to protect his heart prior to a dentist visit earlier that month. He was only 37 years old. In 1990, Darin was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Nine years later, he was voted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. This TV soundboard recording captures him on January 26, 1973, 53 years ago today, during the second episode of the winter run of his variety show. Rest in peace Bobby - the world still misses you and that golden voice. By the way - if you aren't familiar with Bobby Darin, no better time than now to start listening!

1970s - #4: On December 8, 1975, Bob Dylan brought the Rolling Thunder review to New York's Madison Square Garden for the final concert of that triumphant tour. The concert was also a benefit for boxer Rueben "Hurricane" Carter, who Dylan had written about in his song Hurricane. That tune alleged that Carter had been the victim of racism, leading to a unfair trial that convicted him of a murder he did not commit. The concert raised over $100,000 for Carter's legal expenses. The on January 25, 1976, 5 decades ago today, Dylan held a second benefit for Carter, this time in Houston. Also on the bill were Stevie Wonder, Isaac Hayes, Dr. John, Shawn Phillips, along with special guests Ringo Starr, Stephen Stills, Richie Havens, and Carlos Santana. Thanks to the public attention brought to the case by the concerts and the song, Carter eventually won the right to a new trial, but was again convicted. Finally, in 1985, that conviction was overturned, with the US District Court in NJ stating that the case had been "based on racism rather than reason and concealment rather than disclosure." This TV soundboard recordimng captures Stephen Stills at that 2nd benefit for Carter in the Astrodome.

1970s - #3: For the Grateful Dead, the period from 1970 to 1971 was a year of transition. After the psychedelic intensity of 1969's live shows, captured in the album Live Dead, the band stunned fans and critics alike when they released Workingman's Dead in June 1970, followed by American Beauty in November. Those were laid back, Americana-styled albums, featuring carefully crafted tunes, tight harmonies, and folk and country rhythms. The 2 discs would feature what would become some of the band's best known tunes - Sugar Magnolia, Uncle John's Band, Casey Jones, and Truckin, just to name a few. The band's live concerts also evolved during this period. Songs such Dark Star, St. Stephen, The Eleven, Caution (Do Not On The Tracks) and Cryptical Envelopment which had been at the center of 1969s psychedelic jams played a less prominent role in the band's set lists. In their place, the band built jams around tunes such as Truckin, Not Fade Away and Going Down The Road.  As the band entred 1971, more change was on the horizon. Mickey Hart would leave the group in February 1971 (to return in 1974) while Pigpen's role diminished due to health issues and  an inability to truly grasp the new material. By October 1971, the band would add Keith Godchaux on keyboards to help deal with Pigpen's changing role. This soundboard recording from January 24, 1971, 55 years ago today, therefore captures the Dead right in between those 2 periods of change. Somehow, through it all, the Dead continued to shine on stage - you can read a more detailed description of the show here.

2000s - #3: As the first decade of the 21st century came to a close, Elton John continued to remain a vibrant force in the music industry. In 2006, he released The Captain and The Kid, a new studio album which was the follow up to his 1975 number one album, Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy.  The next year, he released Rocket Man: Definitive Hits, a 17 song compilation that included 13 number one songs. He continued to perform his Red Piano shows in Las Vegas, extending the initial 3 year run for another 3 years, as well as taking the performance to Europe.  From 2006 to 2008, Elton played over 300 concerts, including solo shows, concerts with his full band, and his Red Piano gig.  After closing 2008 with a New Year's Eve show at Wembley, he was on the road again just 2 weeks later, in South America, for the first of what would be 85 concerts in 2009.  He launched his 2009 tour in Sao Paolo, Brazil, on January 17, 2009, 9 years ago today.  This FM recording of the show captures the complete concert, all 24 tunes, unlike some bootlegs of the show which have only 17 of songs. Of note, the next to last song of the night is Skyline Pigeon, a tune from his first album which was released almost 40 years earlier!
