1980s - #4: In August 1980, Pat Benatar released her 2nd album, Crimes of Passion, featuring the hits single. Hit Me with Your Best Shot, which cracked the top 10 on the Billboard charts. The album did even better, peaking at #2 for 5 consecutive weeks in early 1981 and selling over 5 million copies. The album also earned Benatar her first Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance. In August, the video of "You Better Run, another cut from the album, would become the 2nd video ever played on MTV. This soundboard recording captures Ms. Benatar on stage at The Palladium ion New York City, on April 13, 1981, 32 years ago today, while on tour in support of Crimes of Passion.
