On February 13, 1974, 3 dozen years ago today, Linda Ronstadt played the Michigan Palace in Detroit, as captured in this high quality audience recording. At the time she was serving as the lead-in for Jackson Browne for many shows, but the Jackson Browne website lists him playing at Cobo Hall in Detroit that night and does not say Linda lead in. Kind of strange that they would be on tour together, be in the same city, yet play different venues! In any event, Ronstadt was on tour in support of her album Don't Cry Now, which had been released in September 1973. Don't Cry Now became Ronstadt's second gold album and would be followed in late 1974 by her masterpiece, Heart Like a Wheel.

lovin me some Linda, thanks Speedy, Speaking of Jackson Browne any boots of his? a legend in his own right, Saw him back in 09 still touring mainly doing accoustic shows these days. Well into his 60s now has lost nothing vocally ,one of the best shows ive seen in the last several years,A little trivia Jackson co wrote Take it easy with Glenn Frey
