He was dubbed the Rock & Roll President, which later became the title of a 1997 MTV documentary about his life. He played saxophone on the Arsenio Hall show during his campaign for the Oval Office. He used Fleetwood Mac's "Don't Stop (Thinking About Tomorrow)" as his campaign theme song. Bill Clinton, the first baby boomer president, once thought of becoming a musician before life led him in a vastly different direction. So, its hardly surprising that his inauguration on January 7, 1993, 27 years ago, today featured a veritable who's who of rock legends. This soundboard recording captures shows on the National Mall and at The National Building Museum celebrating the start of the Clinton presidency, featuring Bob Weir, The Band, Clarence Clmeons Stephen Still, Bob Dylan and a host of other rock legends.

Hi, just a quick note Fleetwood Mac's song was "Don't Stop." Journey was "Son't Stop Believin'" Still, heck of a find and thanks for sharing this. And it can be done without guilt - any concert event done on behalf of the govt is public domain.
Good post.
By the way - I have no political intent in posting this - I just like the music. I prefer to keep this blog out of any and all political debate.
Thanks for sharing what looks like a great show, speedy - thanks for all you do, and sorry somebody above chose to make a political reference that's not needed on a music site. Cheers!
Folks - please no more political comments. I've deleted several without publishing them Lets talk music and leave the political debate elsewhere.
How can I get past the FF warning ("Server Load Too High")? I would like the show, but am unwilling to pay for a subscription I'll only use once. I've tried using Safari & Chrome. Thanks!
