In May 2017, David Crosby launched a US tour, featuring music from his then most recent album Croz, the soon to be released disc Sky Trails, and of course, his life time of prior work with and without CSNY! Crosby's band for the tour wincluded James Raymond on keyboards, Mai Agan on bass, Steve DiStanislao on drums, Jeff Pevar on guitar and Michelle Willis on keys and vocals.  This soundboard recording captures him during that run in Boulder on May 7, 2017, 3 years ago today.

Sheryl Crow - 1999-05-06 - Camden NJ (SBD)

When your debut album goes to #3 on the Billboard charts, and wins 3 Grammys, as Tuesday Night Music Club did, you've established quite a standard for future releases.  For Sheryl Crow, however, that hardly seemed to be an issue.  In 1996, her self-titled second disc went to # 6 on the charts and included such hits as Everyday Is A Winding Road, If It Makes You Happy and Hard To Make A Stand.  Then in 1998, she released the critically acclaimed Globe Sessions, which climbed to #5 on the charts and won 2 Grammy Awards.  This soundboard recording captures Sheryl shortly after her Grammy win for the Globe Sessions, on May 6, 1999, 21 years ago today, in Camden, NJ.  In addition to featuring songs from that album, such as My Favorite Mistake and There Goes The Neighborhood, the set list reflects her numerous rock influences. She includes stellar versions of Bob Dylan's Mississippi, George Harrison's What Is Life and Dobie Gray's Drift Away!

Gov't Mule - 2001-05-05 - New Orleans LA (SBD)

After the tragic death of bassist Allen Woody in August 2000, Warren Haynes and Matt Abts decided to soldier on with Gov't Mule, recruiting David Schools as their new bass player.  The Spring 2001 tour was dubbed the New School Of Mule, a play of the new bassist's name and also a reflection of the fact that the band was entering a new stage. Overcoming adversity the Mule continued to deliver searing live performances, as evidenced in this soundboard recording from New Orleans from May 5, 2001, 19 years ago today.

When the Allman Brothers reunited in the early 1990’s. a pivotal element of their new found success was the guitar play of Warren Haynes. Haynes decided to leave the band in early 1997, however, in part to focus full time on Gov’t Mule and in part, because of on-going dissension with Dicky Betts. So, the 1996 tour really represented Warren’s last hurrah with the band. until he returned in 2000. This soundboard recording captures the Allmans with Warren in Pelham on May 3, 1996, 2 dozen years ago today.
