FROM FRANCE...VERY GREAT BLOG, THANK YOU FOR THE BOOTS

Mccartney had the capacity to elevate simple songs to sacred music those years with the help of great high spirit musicians ,now it's the opposite ,just compare "my love" 76 with "my love" with the new horrible band.

Speedy, this show just proves that when done properly and at the right venue audience recordings and be as good and ib this case superior to many soundboards as they capture the atmosphere of what it must have been like to have been there close to the stage , thanks so much

Thanks Speedy, sounds great, far superior to Wings over America which i heard had those inevidable overdubs, mainly Denny and Linda who apparently sang out of tune a good bit, Paul however was right on tune as always especially in the 70s his vocal peak. Personally i dont care if Linda was off key or Denny for that matter, it actually adds to the charm and authenticity of the shows and face it It was Paul that everyone wanted to see and hear and he was always on point with that incomparable great voice of his, how do you feel about this
speedy overdubs suck, also was this a Dan Lampinski tape? know that he taped many shows in Boston as well as Providence back in the 70s, also Steve Hopkins another master taper worked the area as well, thanks so much

Glad you enjoyed. I'm not a huge fan of overdubs but nothing you can do about it except find good bootlegs to listen to! Not sure if this is a Lampanski or Hopkins tape - the note file didn't have much detail in it. Another boot from this tour coming in days!

yeah, from what ive read almost all of Linda and Dennys vocals were redone in the studio, Really now does anyone expect Linda to sound like Linda Ronstadt com'on now get real, Paul let her be onstage just for the sake of family togetherness and the boots ive heard sound really good , can't really tell any mistakes but like most people i want to hear Paul and dont pay much attention to Linda, Dennys songs were very catchy as well and i dont see why they felt the need to overdub his vocals as he sounded fine to me, Paul of course was and is always great, no overdubs with his vocals obviously

hello speedy- this is lucas from argentina- could you please re-up this show-thanx in advance man!!! regarding some comments about overdubs i see here,i personally dont like overdubs either, but according to drummer joe english, linda and denny were always almost the culprits, and he refered to jimmy mc culloch and paul and himself as being the real tight backing players- and though lindas keyboards were okay most of the time, her singing needed help- and about denny, it was not his singing needing overdubs, altough theres some evidence of him singing ripped and off key in some footage, but his guitar playing- even in early wings shows you can hear him miss the frets and play horribly off key and that happened also in the over america and europe tours- funny considering how versatile a guitarist he was in the studio- asides from this, we can also see the entire band doing overdubs for over america in the studio so i think it was not due to someone singing or playing a bit off but to mc cartney paranoid perfectionism that led him to want to replace entire sections from the performances-- having listened to many of them, i can say they are ok and enjoyable for me-and if there was any flaws they were an easy fix with the right mix work- not for big mac aparently- well, thats it,just a bit of chit chat-- thanx speedy- hope i can download this one soon-
