In late 1973, when Chicago went into the studio to record their 7th album, the band initially intended to record a pure jazz record. During the sessions, however, some members of the band grew leery about the commercial risk of the endeavor. The group compromised, turning the project into a double album that incorporated jazz music along with some traditional rock tunes. The album, Chicago VII, was released on March 11, 1974 and went to the top of the Billboard charts. Three singles from the album, (I've Been) Searchin' So Long, Call On Me and Wishing You Were Here, all cracked the top 15 on the Billboard singles chart. This soundboard recording captures Chicago on tour in support of their double album in Louisville on June 12, 1974, 42 years ago today. Download this one to remember when Chicago could still rock, thanks to the guitar work of the late Terry Kath.

Just wanted to let you know that this is missing 6 songs from #7 to #12.....

No tracks are missing. Track 6, Disc 1 of the download is a medley called called Ballet For A Girl From Buchanon. That track includes what is listed on the setlist as tracks 6 through 12. I just speeled them all out so that folks would know all the songs included in the medley.

Actually, there is a song missing. Where's "Got to Get You into My Life?"
The download contains everything I have - if a song is missing, then it was missing from the source where I obtained it
