Dire Straits - 1992-06-28 - Basel, Switzerland (SBD) 

After disbanding Dire Straits in 1988, Mark Knopfler reformed the band three years later in 1991. The released the album on Every Street later that year, which sold over 8 million copies and went # 1 on the UK charts while reaching #12 on the Billboard charts in the US. Despite that success, by comparison to their prior release Brothers In Arms, the new disc was both a critical and commercial disappointment. The band launched a massive 300 show, 2 year tour in support of the album. The strain of that tour, however, proved to be too much for the band, and in its aftermath, Knopfler dissolved Dire Straits for the 2nd, and final, time. This soundboard recording captures the band on that final run on June 28, 1992, 2 dozen years ago today, in Switzerland.
