From 1979 to 1981, Los Angeles hosted Survival Sunday, an anti nuclear benefit concert featuring some of the rock’s biggest names. The inaugural show in 1979 included Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, and Graham Nash, who had also participated in the 1979 No Nukes rally. For the 2nd Survival Sunday, held on May 25, 1980, 42 years ago today, Nash was back, and he brought with him David Crosby and Stephen Stills. In addition, Joe Walsh made an appearance, playing 2 solo tunes and joining Stills for 2 more.
