Counting Crows 1994 - #1: Someone must have had a premonition when they asked a then relatively unknown band to fill in for Van Morrison, who skipped his own induction, at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony on Janaury 16,1993.  Later that year, that band released the album August & Everything, whihch went to #4 on the Billbaord charts in the strength of such songs as Mr. Jones, Round here and Rain King.  The Counting Crows had arrived.  This soundboard recording captures the band on tour in Europe in support of their stunning debut disc, on April 7, 1994, 29 years ago today.  Download this one, then come back on April 28 for part 2 of thisd Same Tour, Different Show Double Play.
