Roy Orbison - Back To Back #2: Here's our 2nd post featuring Roy Orbison during his 1967 Australian tour with The Yardbirds and The Walker Brothers. This one is a soundboard recording from January 27, 1967, 54 years ago today. One note - Roy plays a tunes called Communication Breakdown, which is not the same song as later performed by Led Zeppelin. But perhaps, since Jimmy Page was on this tour with the Yardbirds, it's where he found his inspiration for the Zeppelin classic!

Yay!
more, more, more , Roy Roy Roy love Orbison , no voice like this EVER before or since his like will never be heard again a true legend Thanks a bunch
thanks for sharing speedy, love Roy, are there anymore boots of him out there?, know that he opened for the beatles in 63 just before beatlemania exploded . would die for one of those shows. Legend has it that the beatles originally opened for Roy who was more well known at that time but the crowd was so beatle crazy that Roy started doing his set first. All the beatles were in awe of him and they all became fast friends . Of course decades later Roy and George were in the travlin willburys together along with Tom Petty and Bob Dylan. Heard that he also toured with the stones in the 60s as well. any chance of finding any of these shows . thanks again
The ones I posted are the only boots by Roy I've ever been able to find. Maybe some other readers of this blog know where to find more.
The best voice ever, no one could or ever will sing like Roy, many artists like Springsteen. James Taylor, Jackson Browne were in awe of him . Elvis called him the best singer he ever heard. Speedy have you ever seen a black and white night, filmed in the late 80s a live show with many guest artists, All these people legends in their own right were like kids in a candy store getting to perform with the man himself. Springsteen was like a kid so excited about sharing the stage with his idol. Roy was in the midst of a major comeback when he died suddenly, Speedy why do we have to lose these great people so soon with so much more to give , Roy, Jim Croce ecc very sad
Thanks for this show, thought I had it somewhere in my collection but don't see it now.
the accountant.
PS: I have only seen one other Roy show myself. Don't think he brought in the taper types. Our loss
