The album was produced by Quincy Jones and featured Fran;s first studio recording of Mack The Knife, a song he had been playing in concert for decades. This soundboard recording captures Frank in Chicago on May 11, 1984, 38 years ago today and just a few month's before the album's release. The set list includres the title track from the forthcoming disc, and concludes with the so appropriate My Kind of Town (Chicago Is).

I wish more of his performances were liberated but happy to have this one. This is a remarkable performance as Gordon Jenkins passed away one week prior. Gordon Jenkins arranged and conducted some of FS' heaviest, torchiest, saddest material he ever recorded.. Pure genius.. He and Nelson Riddle really gave Frank's voice back to him.. This is a must have for Frank fans..
Glad you enjoyed! I have more Frank coming in August and September!
