Bob Seger 1980 - Back To Back - #1:  Bob Seger began playing rock & roll in 1961, but didn't break through until 1976, when the album Night Moves went to #8 on the Billboard charts. He followed that with the album Stranger In Town in 1978, which climbed all the way to #4. The in 1980, as a new decade dawned, Seeger went to the top of the charts with the album Against The Wind. After spending 5 weeks at #2 on the Billboard charts, Against The Wind would knock Pink Floyd's legendary album, The Wall, out of the top spot. and then spend 6 weeks at #1. Two singles from the album, the title track and Fire Lake, both cracked the top 10 on the singles charts. The album would sell almost 4 million copies by the end of 1981 and Seger would win a Grammy for it for best performance by a rock group or duo. This soundboard recording captures Seger and the Silver Bullet Band on tour in support of Against The Wind in Boston on October 6, 1980, 43 years ago today.
