Capitol Theatre - #4:  As mentioned in an earlier post in this Capitol Theater Four Of A Kind, John Scher's status as a promoter enabled him to get rock's biggest acts to play his 3,200 seat theater even when they were selling out major arenas. A perfect example of this can be found during the Allman Brother's 1979 tour. I saw the band at Madison Square Garden on July 21, 1979.  And where were they the night before, on July 20, 1979, 39 years ago today.  Well, where else but the Capitol in Passaic, as captured in this soundboard recording.
