Capitol Theater - #3: In February 1980, Warren Zevon released the album Bad Luck Streak In Dancing School, the follow up to his critically acclaimed disc Excitable Boy. While the new album climbed up to #20 on the Billboard charts, it lacked the consistency and the collection of memorable tunes of its predecessor. Bad Luck is notable, however, for featuring a host of guests, including Jackson Browne, Glenn Frey, Linda Ronstadt, Waddy Wachtel and Joe Walsh, not to mention a tune, Jeannie Needs a Shooter, written with Bruce Springsteen. This FM broadcast captures Warren on tour in support of the album at the Capitol Theater in Passaic, NJ on April 18, 1980, 38 years ago today.
