2000s - #4: Eric Clapton's 2006/2007 World tour spanned 11 months, from May 2006 to April 2007, and took Slowhand to 4 different continents - North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. Supporting Eric during that run were 2 other legendary guitarists - Derek Trucks and Doyle Bramhall II. Perhaps Truck's connection to the Allman Brothers reminded EC of his time working with Duane, as the tour set lists reached back to the days of Derek & The Dominos. In addition to Layla, each night Clapton played Dominos standards such as Tell The Truth, Got To Get Better In A Little While, Little Wing, Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad and Anyday. This excellent audience recording captures EC during that tour, in China on January 20, 2007, 15 years ago today.
