1999 - On August 24, 1999, Kris Kristofferson, released The Austin Sessions on Atlantic Records. The disc featured stripped-down versions of his' most famous material, including Me and Bobby McGee, Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down and Help Me Make It Through the Night. Several well-known artists contributed vocals to the album, including Steve Earle, Jackson Browne, Matraca Berg, Vince Gill, Marc Cohn, Alison Krauss, Catie Curtis and Mark Knopfler.  Two months later, on Octrober 34, 1999, 23 years ago today, Kristofferson appeared on Vin Scelsa's Idio's Delight;'s program, as captured in this WNEW-FM Broadcast to discuss both the album and his carer, as well as to play a host of hos classics.
