Croz 1982 - Back To Back - #1: Whe David Crosby took the stage in Portland on March 12, 1982, 43 years ago today as captured in this soundboard recording, he was about a month away from the start of a period that almost cost him both his career and his life. In April 1982, Crosby was arrested and would later spend nine months in prison in Texas on a variety of drug and weapons charges. The in 1985, he was arrested again, this time for a hit-and-run incident, as well as possession of a concealed pistol and drug paraphernalia. Crosby would again spend time behind bars, where he finally got sober. In May 1987, Crosby sent a letter to the judge who senteneced him, thanking him for saving his life and promsing not to be back in his courtroom.
