As mentioned in earlier posts on this blog, The Beach Boys, in the mid 1980;s made it a tradition to play a concert every July 4th in Washington DC. Well on July 4th 1985, 29 years ago today, the band decided to play 2 shows to celebrate our nation’s birthday. This FM broadcast captures their early show that day, in Philadelphia the city where both the Declaration of Independence and The Constitution were written.
