Paul McCartney - Double Play 2011 - #1: On July 17, 18 and 21, Sir Paul McCartney became the first musical act to perform at Citi-Field, the newly built home of the New York Mets. Sir Paul’s run was only fitting, since it was the Beatle’s who played the first concert at Shea Stadium, the predecessor to Citi-Field. Highlights from the run were eventually released on the CD/DVD package entitled Good Evening New York City. Just a few days prior to his Citi-Field stint, Sir Paul opened the tour in Halifax, Canada on July 11, 2009, 5 years ago today. Download this FM broadcast of the Halifax show to hear Sir Paul play a tune he seems to save only for his Canadian fans, Mull Of Kintyre, complete with a local bag pipe group! The come back on July 15 for part 2 of this Double Play.

HOLY COW!!! I did not realize at first that this was the show where P.M. pulled out the "Mull Of Kintyre". I have been looking for a good quality show of this for awhile, but when I grabbed this from you, I was in a post work fog, & only took note of the fact that I didn't have this in my catalog, & proceeded to download. Then, when I went to burn... SURPRISE! God bless you Speedy, you are my hero (even more so, now)!!! Words CAN NOT express how happy you made this aging hippy...THANK YOU, again, from the bottom of my heart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
