Elvis Costello - 1970s: When Elvis Costello burst on the scene in the late 1970’s, he quickly too his place as one of the 3 Angry Men of rock, along with Graham Parker and Joe Jackson. His first 2 albums, My Aim Is True and This Year’s Model, may be one of the best 1, 2 punches ever thrown by a new artist. Both albums, which were produced by Nick Lowe of Rockpile fame, cracked the top 40 on the Billboard album charts, and received extensive critical praise. In 2003, Rolling Stone included My Aim is True and This Year’s Model in their list of the Top 500 albums of all time, with the former ranked #168 and the latter at #98. Elvis toured relentlessly in early 1978 in support of both albums. This high quality audience recording  captures him in Boston on may 4, 1978, 38 years ago this very day.
