In 1995, Joan Osbourne, became an "overnight sensation" released her 2nd album and first on a major label, entitled Relish. The disc went to #9 on the Billboard charts, propelled there by the single One Of Us, which climbed all the way to the #4 spot. The song received Grammy nominations in 1996 for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year. Of course, as with so many artists who were barnded "overnight sensations", Joan has toiled for years in small clubs, honing her craft and waiting for her big break. This Excellent Audience recording creatures Joan some 4 years before her commercial breakthrough, in red Bank NJ on May 31, 1991, 29 years ago today. hey speedy, thanks for joan. always loved her with the dead. i think my favorite incarnation of the band was keith and donna period, but i think joan sings better than donna jean (note playin' in the band wails lol), thanks again for the tunes, peace stay safe
