The only time I saw Blues Traveler live was in November 1991, at Madison Square Garden as the lead-in band for Jerry Garcia!. That was 3 years before they hit it big with the album "four", which went to #8 on the Billboard charts. and sold over 6 million copies world wide. The single from that album Run-Around also went to #8 on the charts.
This FM broadcast captures Blues Traveler on July 4, 1997, 25 years ago today, at Red Rocks in Morrison Co. As mentioned in a post a few years ago, playing Red Rocks on Independence today has become a bit of a tradition for the band as we have also posted their July 4 shows from that venue from 1996, 2010 and 2012.
