2010s - #6: In the summer of 2010, Gregg Allman was recovering from a liver transplant that was required after doctors found cancer had spread throughout that organ. A year later, he was back on stage, at one of the Allman Brother’s favorite venues, The Beacon Theater in New York, for a special charity show to raise money to combat hepatitis C, the very disease which had caused his cancer. The Allmans were joined on stage that night by special guests, Natalie Cole, David Crosby, Graham Nash, and Phil Lesh. This FM broadcast captures the entire 3 hour event from July 27, 2011, just 2 short years ago today.
