2010s - 04:Early in 2010, Neil Young flew to Los Angeles, CA to begin work on his 33rd studio album. Neil brought in Daniel Lanois to produce the disc, which resulted in calling the album Le Noise, a pun on the producer’s last name. The disc featured Neil solo, on both acoustic and electric guitar. Le Noise was released in September 2010, climbing to number 14 on the Billboard charts while receiving positive reviews from Rolling Stone, Blare Magazine, and The Guardian, just to name 3. On May 18, 2010, even before the album hit stores, Neil went on tour playing tunes from Le Noise, such as Walk With Me and Sign Of Love, alongside classics like My My, Hey Hey and Cinnamon Girl. This excellent audience recording captures Neil during that run, on July 11, 2010, 13 years ago today, at the Fox Theater in Oakland, CA.
