For Neil Young, 1984 was the first year since 1966 in which he did not release an album. Neil was engaged at the time in a series of battles with his label, Geffen records. After Neil’s 2 prior albums, Trans and Everybody's Rockin', both experimental in nature, failed to do well commercially, David Geffen sued Neil for making music that was "unrepresentative" of his past work. In other words, Neil was accused of not making Neil Young music! In addition, Young was annoyed that the label refused to release Old Ways, an album of country music he had written. So Neil took to the road, backed by a country band called the International Harvesters, playing songs from an album not yet released. This soundboard recording captures Neil in Austin on September 25, 1984, 4 decades ago today.

Thanks for the Neil speedy, think I may have caught this on tv back in the day. Were you aware that Clock has been removed and what do you feel the reason was. Could Web Sheriff be the culprit , possibly official stuff being put out or He just decided to shut down for other reasons. Really hate when this happens , First Hear rock city and now this. So many of us live for blogs like yours , Dino's ecc, Clock was one of the best. Its not just the tunz, its like you feel that you lost a friend if that makes sense, know that I would feel the same if you ever left the web. Please respond, Thanks so much
Not sure why Clock was shut down. Could be Web Sheriff, could be Google cracking down, could be he was asked to remove posts and didn't..... All of us who run blogs like this walk a fine line and we could get shut down at any minute. Kind of goes with the territory.
What happens if someone asks for an unofficial post to be removed, Heard you mention many times that officials had to be removed once you found out , what about shows that are unofficial? There are so many blogs on the web that its impossible to shut everyone down. Actually many of the same shows are on multiple blogs plus for everyone that gets shut down 5 new ones appear so for me it truly is about feeling like a friend has left without saying goodbye . does that make sense ? Ive been visiting your blog for some time now and would be really depressed if you had to shut it down. plus you have in my opinion always been willing to go the extra mile with advise for downloading as well as maleware prevention. very few others who run blogs are as helpful. You usually answer all questions when you can. know that it must be time consuming to respond to so many questions and it is very much appreciated. Also don't know of any other music blog where you can discuss everything from music to sports to horse racing to the war on terror. Your blog is one of a kind .Really appreciate all you do and how nice you treat people

Official or unofficial, if you,re asked to take it down you better or else run the risk they close down the whole blog.
