Spin Doctors - 1991 - #1: In August 1991, the Spin Doctors released their debut album Pocket Full Of Kryptonite, but it barely received any commercial or critical notice. It took almost a year before folks picked up on the album, bolstered by MTv playing videos of Two Princes and Little Miss Can't be Wrong. Sales suddenly took off, with the album certifying gold by September 1992, and reaching triple platinum status by June 1993. The disc peaked at #3 on the Billboard charts, and the 2 singles mentioned previously both cracked the top 20. By the way, the album got its title from a line from its opening track, Jimmy Olsen's Blues, which didn't chart when originally released, but eventually cracked the Billboard Top 100 after the band's big commercial breakthrough.
