Thirty years ago on August 9, 1995, we lost the spiritual leader of the Grateful Dead, a man who was both a legendary guitarist and an outstanding song writer. So, in honor of an artist gone way to soon, our them for August 2025 is Jerry Garcia. We'll bring you Grateful Dead concerts, solo Garcia shows, tribute concerts, and shows from bands and performers connected to Jerry in some way. Since Garcia was also born in August, what better month to celebrate his life and legacy!

FYI Jerry Garcia appeared in a TV commercial for the Japanese department store, Parco in 1993. He was not well-known in Japan then. Even now! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nk9OJ2C72RQ
