Edie Brickell made her only Farm Aid appearance in 2020, participating in the Farm Aid At Home webcast show which took the place of the annual festival due to the COVID pandemic.
This soundboard recording captures her fronting the New Bohemians in East Troy on September 3, 1989, 3 dozen years ago today. They were leading in for Lou Reed and Elvis Costello - quite a line up!

Again, thanks! As you have posted shows by Lou and EC before, any chance for their sets from this concert? Not to be greedy, but those guys were touring behind two of their best and most commercially successful albums, "New York" and "Spike," respectively. Would also welcome the Junkies as "The Trinity Sessions" was their signature album; they never topped it.
Actually writing this I have to keep in mind the theme for the month. That said, here is a concert from Lou from the same tour. https://www.reddit.com/r/LouReed/comments/1kfui7t/lou_reed_riverside_theater_milwaukee_april_6_1989/
@Trivial Tony - unfortunately, don't have either. Thanks for the Lou Reed from 1989.
Unfortunately Lou Reed didn't appear at this concert. I believe he had broken a leg and had to cancel a number of tour dates. I think he was replaced by Violent Femmes which is appropriate because...Wisconsin.
Thanks for this, speedy - love Edie B !!!!
