According the sugarmtn.org, which provides a detailed history of Neil Young concerts and set lists, CSNY first performed together on August 16, 1969 in Chicago at the Auditorium Theater. They played 2 shows that night, then 2 days later, took the stage in front of 500,000 fans at Woodstock. A week later on August 25, they were 3000 miles from Woodstock, launching a 7 night stand at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles.
