During the summer of 1978, WMMS-FM in Cleveland celebrated its 10th anniversary with a multitude of concerts and special events. None was bigger, nor has begin more legendary with the passage of time, than Bruce Springsteen’s performance at the Agora Theater on August 9, 1978, 35 years ago today. Former WMMS program director John Gorman, who arrived at the station in 1989, was so fond of the show that he spent 6 years looking for a bootleg of it. Thanks to the help of a fellow Springsteen fan, he uncovered a copy in a record store in Atlanta. He paid $75 plus shipping to acquire the 3 disc set. You don’t need to go through all that trouble. Just click on the link below to download a wonderful FM broadcast of the show that many Springsteen fans rate as one of his 5 greatest performances ever.

Thanks for posting this show. Taped this off WMMS (on an 8 track no less) back in the day. Love your site! Definitely one of my favorite bootleg sites.
Since the "official" release was made from a 24 track recording, the WMMS broadcast really isn't "official:.
We have a rule here - if the artist has released the show for sale in any way,shape or form, we don't post it. Too many of our fellow sites have been shut down for posting officially released material and we don't want that to happen to So Many Roads. We always err of the side of safe rather than sorry because we want to keep this place alive.
