Jimi Hendrix - 1967-11-10 - Bussum, The Netherlands (FM) 

1967 - The Hippy Happy Beurs rock festival took place at the Ahoy Hallen in Rotterdam from Friday November 10 through Tuesday, November 14. The festival’s lineup included the Spencer Davis Group (who replaced the Bee Gees), Pink Floyd, Golden Earring and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Hendrix would take the stage on the first night of the event, along with local bands The Flower and The Motions. Earlier in the day on November 10, prior to their festival appearance, Jimi, Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell played live in the Vitus Studio in Bussum, The Netherlands. The recordings for broadcast on the TV show Hoepla. After The Experience played their set, the trio changed clothes and played 2 more versions of Purple Haze. Those recordings were intended for a 2nd episode of Hoepla, but were never aired. This FM broadcast captures those Hoepla recordings from November 10, 1967, 46 years ago today.
