As promised, here’s the last night at the Capitol Theatre in April 1977, which is also our final installment this month from the Dead’s 1977 Spring tou. This soundboard recording captures the Dead on April 27, 1977, 37 years ago today. This one will always have a special place in my heart, as I remember listening to it live on WNEW-FM. Moreover, it was the first concert I ever taped off the radio. The show’s a bit short compared to others from Spring 1977, maybe to ensure it fit within the broadcast window, but the band’s on fire. By the way - at this point we have brought you every available soundboard or FM broadcast from the Dead's 1977 spring tour.  If you don't see a concert from that tour here at So Many Roads, it means one of two things - its either been officially released (there are almost a dozen such shows between Dick's Pick's, Dave Pick's and other archival releases) or the show s only available in an audience recording.  In September, we'll go to work on the 1977 fall tour so that you can have all of 1977!
