After briefly retiring in the early 1970s, Frank Sinatra was gain a full time performer by the middle of the decade.  In 1975, in addition to playing long runs at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas and Harrah's In Lake Tahoe, Sinatra toured Europe in May, then returned to England in Kovember, accompanied by Sarah Vaughan & The Count Basie Orchestra.  He also found time in November to play in both Israel and Iran.  In August and September, he did a series of shows in New York, Philadelphia and Chicago with Ella Fitzgerald & The Count Basie Orchestra.  In addition, he played dozens of shows across North America throughout the year, crisscrossing the continent from cities as far flung as Portland to Providence, including this show on May 9, 1975, 44 year ago today.  The Chairman of the Board was in prime form in 1975,  as captured in this soundboard recording.
