When the Allman Brothers took the stage at Swathmore College on May 2, 1970, 49 years ago today, the band was just about 1/2 way between 2 major milestones in their career. The first official Allman Brothers band concert had taken place on March 30, 1969 in Jacksonville, FL. In March, 1971, the Allmans played 2 shows that were recorded for what became one of rock's most legendary live albums, entitled simply At Fillmore East. So this performance finds the band on the rise to stardom, having just released their debut album about 6 month's earlier, in November 1969.

Thanks! Great sound & one of my favorite ABB shows! But it is not a soundboard. It does have the sax player from the opening act Quill on a few songs like Liz Reed & a loonngg Stormy Monday!
