Neil Young, Stephen Stills, Richie Furay, Dewy Martin, Bruce Palmer and Jim Messina.  Six historic rock names who came together for all too brief a period to produce some of rock's finest music, only to break apart to spawn a dozen more rock legends.  For a group that barely lasted 3 years, Buffalo Springfield has one of the most impressive legacies of any rock and roll band.  Their 3 albums included such classics as Mr. Soul, Burned, Sit Down I Think I Love You, Bluebird, Nowadays Clancy Can't Even Sing, Special Care, Kind Woman and, of course, For What Its Worth.  From the ashes of their break up arose such groups as CSN/CSNY, Poco, Loggins & Messina and Souther-Hillman-Furay band, not to mention the historic solo careers of Neil Young and Stephen Stills.  This soundboard recording captures, what until 2010, had been band's last concert, on May 5, 1968, 51 years ago today. The surviving members - Young, Stills and Furay - reunited for the first time in over 4 decades in October 2010 to play 2 shows at the Bridge School Benefit.  Unfortunately, that reunion was short lived and its doubtful the Springfield will ever play another show.
