In December 1967, Traffic released their debut album, Mr. Fantasy, in the UK. The disc, featuring a different track list, was called Heaven Is in Your Mind in the US. The disc went to #8 on the UK charts but only reached the #88 position in the US. In the 1970s, however, while many Traffic albums failed to chart in the UK, the band achieved extraordinary success across the pond. Once Steve Winwood reformed the band after his brief stint with Blind Faith, Traffic would have 4 consecutive top 10 albums on the Billboard charts between 1970 and 1974. This soundboard recording captures Traffic in London just about a year before they broke up for almost 2 decades, on May 17, 1974, 47 years today.

Love, love, LOVE Traffic. Unfortunately, most bootlegs I have (not many) are mediocre. Glad to have another one to check out.

Entire concert on 2 tapes. Very good audience recording. Recommended. Includes unreleased instrumentals "Intro" and "Vulcan"; they were recorded live by the band themselves for the rhythm tracks amongst other new material which would ultimately appear on the When the Eagle Flies album. "Vulcan" is of particular importance as it was one of the late Chris Wood's last compositions for Traffic. 135 minutes.
