On April 22, 1999, I saw Neil Young live at the Theater at Madison Square Garden,. The show was a solo acoustic performance, part of the An Evening with Neil Young Tour launched on March 2 of that year and ran until June 2. Over the course of the approximately 40 shows, Neil performed a total of 68 different songs. While I've yet to find a soundboard from the tour, a host of excellent audience recording ar ein circulation, such as this one from Chicago from May 1, 1999, 22 years ago today and just a week or so after I saw Neil.
