Grateful Dead 1987 - Back To Back - #2: As promised yesterday, here's the 2nd half of our Back To Back set featuring the Grateful Dead closing out 1987. This one is a soundboard recording from Oakland from December 31, 1987, 31 years ago today, their final concert of their triumphant comeback year. Without a doubt, the highlight of this show is the 3rd set, where the Neville's join the Dead for a wonderful mix of New Orleans and Caribbean flavored tunes, such as Man Smart (Woman Smarter), Iko Iko and The Banana Boat Song (Day-O), which reflected the celebratory mood of both the band and its legion of Dead Heads that year! Download this one and turn it up loud to help you ring in 2018! Happy New Year everyone!
