In the early part of 1996, The Black Crowes began work on their 4th album which would be entitled Three Snakes and One Charm. The disc was recorded at a rented home in Atlanta, where the band took up residence for several months to work together on the album. The band kicked off their world tour in support of the album on July 5 in Burbank, 3 weeks prior to the disc's official release. The album climbed to #15 on the Billboard charts and received 3 star reviews from both Rolling Stone and All Music.
