In April 1973, The Marshall Tucker Band. released their self titled debut album in April 1973, part of the growing Southern Rock movement that was gaining popularity at the time. The album featured 8 songs, all written by Toy Caldwell, including Can’t You See, which would become a staple of FM radio play. The disc was recorded at Capricorn Studios in Macon, Georgia, where the Allman Brothers also recorded. Given they shared the same studio, its only fitting that the Marshall Tucker Band led in for the Allmans at this show in San Francisco on September 26, 1973, a half century ago today, as captured in this FM broadcast.
