The first Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Induction ceremonyy, held in 1986, featured one legendary inductee after the next. Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Sam Cooke, Ray Charles, Fats Domino, The Everly Brothers, James Brown, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis - everyone a no brainer. The only sad part was so many of them were no longer with us to celebrtae their achievement. Those still with us, however, such as Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis, showed why, in the words of Neil Young, "rock & roll will never die", as they led all star jams on such classics as Roll Over Beethoven, Reelin' & Rockin', and Whole Lotta Shaking Going On.
