The Allman Brothers Band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall oF Fame in 1995, a ceremony that is primarily remebered for the induction of Led Zeppelin. The band members who were inducted - Duane Allman, Gregg Allman, Dickey Betts, Jai "Jaimoe" Johanny Johanson, Berry Oakley and Butch Trucks - reflect the band's original line up from the early 1970s. Later members, such as Warren Haynes, Chuck Leavell, Derek Trucks and Allen Woody, just to name a few, were not included.
This soundboard recording captures that original roster at the Fillmore West in San Francisco, on January 16, 1970, 54 years ago today.
