We detailed the Woodstock organizers efforts to get The Beatles to play Woodstock, and John Lennon's attmept to turn it into a John & Yoko appearnce, in a post earlier this month. This soundboard recording captures John some 3 years after Woodstock, making a rare concert appearance, on August 30, 1972, 52 years ago today. He and Yoko, along with Stevie Wonder, Sha Na nNa, and Roberta Falc, played 2 shows at Madison Square Garden that day to raise funds for children dealing with mental challneges. Looks fantastic, thank you! It's wild how few Lennon live concerts there are after the Beatles - which means really, after 1966. Very, very few shows after that year ... great to see this one pop up.
