U2 - 2010-08-06 - Turin, Italy (IEM)
On June 30, 2009, U2 launched 360 degrees tour, which encompassed 110 shows over a 2 year stretch. The tour was undertaken in support of the band's then new album, No Line On The Horizon. Why a name for the tour that was different from the album title? U2 decided to name the tour after their unique stage configuration allowed the audience to almost completely surround the stage. To accommodate that set up, a massive four-legged structure nicknamed "The Claw" was built above the stage, with the sound system and a cylindrical video screen atop it. The tour became the highest grossing by any rock band in history, with $736 million in ticket sales This soundboard recording captures the band on August 6, 2010, just 4 years ago today, in Italy. Download this one to hear U2 continue to demonstrate why they are one of the finest live bands in rick history.

Great post again Speedy cant get enough U2, although we need to organize a fund raiser so that poor Bono dosen.t lose his mansions and expensive cars, remember he said he was being impoverished by posts like this. I laughed so hard my side almost split when I read what he had said. On another topic I would like to know your opinion of the rock and roll hall of fame, the omission of so many great artists is ridiculous , groups like Grand Funk, Moody Blues, Heart,Traffic, Deep Purple Chicago,Jethro Tull, among others, Also Madonna is in and Rikki Lee Jones isn't neither is Jim Croce, what a joke, also why do rappers get in . This is supposed to be for Rock not hip hop which is not even music in my opinion. How do you feel about this speedy Thanks for your great blog
Thank you for the fast download.
speedy, wanted to get your opinion on the rock and roll hallo f fame, it seems to me like so many truly deserving bands and artists moody blues, jethro tull, deep purple as well as artists like the late great jim croce deserve it more than people like Madonna and these rappers, since when is hip hop rock and roll ,also how can you put someone like Madonna in instead of Rikki lee jones and linda Ronstadt guess all the voters are generation x or younger, wanted to know how you felt about this thanks, great blog
Halls of Fame - whether they are music, sports, actin, whatever - will always be subjective and open to debate. I tend to ignore them. I listen to what I like whether the artist is popular or unpopular, won Grammys or didn't or got elected or didn't to some Hall of Fame.
Amen to that, unfortunately with the voters getting younger every year will probably only get worse. Miley, Britney and the Beiber will probably get in before Chicago , Moody Blues, Traffic and Croce , say it aint so
Same with sports, just recently had the pro football hallof fame inductions every player with the exception of the great punterRay Guy was from the last 20 years or later. forgotten again were great old timers from the 60s and 70s, players like Cowboys great Chuck Howley, Packers great Jerry Kramer, and chiefs great receiver Otis Taylor, many people voting today never saw them play they as well many other old timers are just as deserving as the modern day players, Kramer for example played on those great Lombardi packer teams of the 60s that won 5 titles, and threw the most famous block in the most famous game of all time the 67 ice bowl vs dallas Can still see Starr sneaking in behind him for the winning td. Howley multiple all pro seasons many championhip games and is the only player to win a super bowl mvp despite being on the losing team. Music or Sports the most recent seems to always get the most recognition while the past is forgotten , Sad but we will always have our memories
