This month’s theme gives me an opportunity to showcase another So Many Roads favorite, Marshall Crenshaw, who like John Hiatt, is an incredibly under rated singer song writer. Long time readers know I’ve urged everyone to go out and buy Crenshaw’s first 2 albums, discs that famed rock critic Robert Chritgau has called “perfect” (go here to read those reviews)
In any event, here’s Crenshasw from New York’s legendary Bottom Line on February 20, 1999, 16 years ago today!

Have to admit I'm not all that familiar with Crenshaw's earlier work (though I do know some of his songs), but I always thought that the 1996 album "Miracle of Science" was excellent. I recognize 3 or 4 songs from that album in the setlist for this show. It's already been downloaded, and I'm looking forward to hearing it. Thanks again!
