I’ll admit it - I cheated a bit on this one. On January 27, 2014, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, along with a host of special guests, recorded a special for CBS entitled The Night That Changed America. The show was a tribute to one of the most legendary moments in rock history, The Beatles historic appearance on the Ed Sullivan show on February 9, 1964. The special was aired at 8 pm on Sunday night February 9, 2014, exactly 50 years to the day and time that the Beatles took the stage for the Sullivan show. Knowing I was featuring 1990 & Beyond in February, and understanding the significance of this event, I decided to post it not on the day it was recorded but rather on the date it aired. So, here it is from just a year ago today, a soundboard recording of the Paul & Ringo, alone & together, commemorating the Beatles arrival in the US, a nigh that changed not just America, but also the entire world!

Nice! I have this on video, but it's really nice to have it in audio form, especially the one and only time Paul and Ringo ever did the Pepper/With A Little Help connection live together. Thanks!

Wonder if anyone has their performances from the Grammies the same week...
