We kick off our February tribute to the 1970s with the first of several Van Morrison posts this month.  In spring of 1978, Van Morrison released Wavelength, which at the time became the fastest selling album of his career. Most critics also praised the disc, with Time magazine, for example, stating that “Wavelength is good enough to stand close by Morrison's best work, a record of sinuous, sensuous magic. The man just can't be beat.” This FM broadcast captures Van on tour in support of Wavelength, on his home turf in Belfast,  on February 1, 1979, 37 years ago today.  By the way - some sites have this listed as February 20.
