1969 - After completing a US tour in October and November 1969, The Who returned home to England in December for 5 shows to finish out the year. The band was still touring in support of Tommy, the 2 disc rock opera that might be their greatest work. This soundboard recording captures them in Bristol on December 4, 1969, 52 years ago today, Unfortunately, the first portion of the show is missing from the tape, but the bulk of the Tommy section of the performance, as well as the encores, are intact!
